Fountain Hills, Arizona, is a picturesque town known for its stunning fountain, scenic views, and a variety of activities that cater to both residents and visitors. Here are some fun things to do in Fountain Hills:

Visit the Fountain: The town is named after its world-famous fountain, one of the tallest in the world. Watching this magnificent fountain, which sprays water up to 560 feet into the air, is a must-see. The fountain operates every hour for 15 minutes from 9 AM to 9 PM daily.

Hiking Trails: Enjoy the beautiful landscape by hiking the trails around Fountain Hills. McDowell Mountain Preserve offers various trails for all skill levels, and you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding desert.

Golfing: Fountain Hills is home to several top-rated golf courses, such as Eagle Mountain Golf Club, SunRidge Canyon Golf Club, and Desert Canyon Golf Club, offering breathtaking views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level.

Art and Culture: Visit the Fountain Hills Theater for live performances or explore the town's numerous art galleries. The Fountain Hills Great Fair, held annually, is a large arts and crafts event attracting artists and visitors from all over.

Parks and Recreation: Spend time at Fountain Park, which surrounds the fountain. It's a great place for a picnic, a leisurely walk, or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. There's also a playground for children.

Fountain Hills Botanical Garden: Explore the eight-acre garden which features a rich variety of desert flora, a nature trail, and even a natural waterfall.

Community Events: Depending on the time of year, you can participate in various community events like the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts, the Thanksgiving Day Parade (claimed to be the only Thanksgiving parade in Arizona), and other seasonal festivities.

Lake Overlook Trail: For a relatively easy hike with great views, try this 1.5-mile loop. It offers fantastic views of the lake, the fountain, and the surrounding mountains.

Day Trips: Fountain Hills is close to Scottsdale and Phoenix, making it easy to take day trips to these cities for even more entertainment, dining, and cultural options. Also and easy drive up to the "Rim Country" where pine trees and much cooler temperatures surround you.

Dining and Shopping: Enjoy the various dining options in Fountain Hills, from casual to fine dining, along with unique shopping experiences in the town’s boutiques and shops.

These activities offer a blend of outdoor adventure, cultural experiences, and relaxation, making Fountain Hills a great place to visit, live and enjoy.

There are so many other fun and interesting things to do and I would love to know some of your favorite special activities.
