Rio Verde homes

For the discriminating lifestyles of today's active adults

The community of Rio Verde is located just a 10-minute drive away from Troon North in Scottsdale. Rio Verde is an active adult community – for adults age 55 and over.   In the heart of the high Sonoran Desert, Rio Verde Country Club features two private championship golf courses and a host of amenities designed for the discriminating lifestyles of today’s active adults. Rio Verde is known for being unpretentious and friendly, and residents have a strong sense of community. The community offers golf events, wine dinners, Sunday brunch, dinner dances, and much more. The Rio Verde Community Center has a library, exercise facilities, card rooms, an art studio, a dance studio, pickle ball courts.

The community also has 6 tennis courts (2 lighted) and a newly renovated swimming pool that offers year-round water aerobic classes. Rio Verde’s location provides a gateway to hiking, biking, horseback riding, and other sport/outdoor activities. To Rio Verde’s western boundary lies the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. South of the community, residents will find the Fort McDowell Indian Community. The Tonto National Forest creates the eastern border with nearly 3 million acres of protected land. The close proximity to this vast amount of parkland provides for the variety of outdoor amenities that many active adults seek. The community is just 10 minutes from Fountain Hills and 55 miles to Sky Harbor International Airport.  There is a fire station within the community, as well as full emergency medical services and an ambulance.

Verde River Golf & Social Club

Amazing amenities and activities

Tremendous progress has been made on the highly-anticipated Verde River Golf & Social Club https://youtu.be/GkNfWjHxwYY, which will include ~30,000 square feet of resort-like amenities. Initial amenity offerings will be available to enjoy far in advance of the Club’s entire grand opening, including the Outdoor Sports Pavilion, which is expected to open in early 2017 and features four pickleball courts, four tennis courts (one with stadium seating), three bocce ball courts, and a multi-purpose grass lawn for hosting various recreational activities.

The Outfitter, a complement to the community’s distinctive proximity to Tonto National Forest, is also planned to open in early 2017, and will serve as a hub for Members to claim equipment for golf, biking, hiking, watersports, and more – everything needed to take full advantage of the natural amenities in the community’s backyard. Following the opening of the Outdoor Sports Pavilion and The Outfitter, the Club’s outdoor resort and fitness pools are planned to be unveiled in the spring of 2017. There, Members can lounge all day while absorbing the breathtaking mountain views at their pool and poolside bar.
